Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011This consultation asks for your opinions on government plans to overhaul the current licensing regime, in order to give more power to local authorities and police. This will help them deal with alcohol-related crime and disorder, while also promoting responsible business.

Description: Part 2 Licensing chapter 1 Amendments of the Licensing Act 2003, chapter 2 Late night levy, chapter 3 Alcohol disorder zones.

 

Commencement Orders

Description: Regulations relating to the administration and procedures for introducing a levy.


Description: Regulations for introducing a late night levy.

Description: Brings into force the provisions of the Act which amends the Licensing Act 2003.


Description: This Order brings the following provisions of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 into force on 25th April 2012: section 28(1) and (10), sections 50 to 57 and 59 to 77, sections 103 to 118 (to the extent not already in force), section 120, sections 122 to 124, Schedule 6, Schedule 9 and paragraphs 1 to 11 and 13 to 14 of Schedule 10.


Description: Brings into force the provisions of the Act which amends the Licensing Act 2003.


Description: These Regulations revoke the Licensing Act 2003 (Persistent Selling of Alcohol to Children) (Prescribed Form of Closure Notice) Regulations 2007 and prescribe the form of a closure notice given under section 169A of the Licensing Act 2003 (“the 2003 Act”) to give effect to certain amendments made to that Act by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.


Description: Brings into force the provisions of the Act which amends the Licensing Act 2003.


Description: respectively in Schedules 1 to 3 to the Licensing Act 2003 (Personal licences) Regulations 2005.These are respectively the forms of the application for the grant or renewal of a personal licence,and the form of declaration of disclosure of convictions which must accompany each of theseapplications.


Description: Page 2, regulation 5(2): “...must be—” should read “...must—”; Page 2, regulation 5(2)(a): “in writing, and” should read “be in writing, and”; and Page 2, regulation 5(2)(b): “in the form and must contain...” should read “be in the form and
contain...”.
