R (KVP ENT LTD) v South Bucks DCIn this case a licensing sub-committee of South Buckinghamshire District Council refused to grant an application for a Sexual Entertainment Licence (SEL).

The subcommittee refused the application on the grounds that the grant of this SEL would be inappropriate having regard to –

- the character of the locality where the Premises are situated

New Licensing Act 2003 formsAmendments to a number of current Licensing Act 2003 forms have been introduced by the Licensing Act 2003 (Forms) (Amendment) Regulations 2013.

The Scrap Metal Dealers Bill received Royal Assent on the 28th of February 2013.

The Private Members' Bill had its third reading in the House of Lords on the 12th of February 2013.  No amendments were made and it was confirmed yesterday that the Bill received Royal Assent to become an Act.
